TelstraClear has built our own local Steam Content Server for our loyal gaming customers and added it to our unmetered zone! So now in addition to powering NZ's largest unmetered gaming server provider - ON3 Network you can pick up the latest games through Steam with less impact to your monthly usage and at locally hosted speeds.
We've decided to cache all of the available Steam games library, but we can't guarantee all Steam usage will be delivered from our unmetered content server, so it's
important to read our guide to Steam. Once you've done all this, visit the
official Steam website to download the client and get amongst it!
It is very important to read the FAQ guide in full so that you understand how Steam works and how it may affect you if you are a TelstraClear Residential Broadband customer.
To receive unmetered access to TelstraClear's Steam Content Server, you must be a TelstraClear Residential Customer.
To join TelstraClear, call 0508 010 229 and make sure to mention our Steam Content Server.
For TelstraClear Residential Customers, any content sourced from the TelstraClear Steam Content Server will be unmetered, as well as any data usage incurred through the ON3 Network forums, gaming servers or downloads section.
Content delivered from other Steam Content Servers will not be unmetered.
TelstraClear can not guarantee that the Steam application will direct you to TelstraClear's Steam Content Server. There is a risk that you may be charged for usage delivered from another content server. If you wish to restrict access to a specific server IP, we suggest using third party software to do so.
