Frequently Asked QuestionsCan I check my balance from a landline or from another mobile phone?
No. The system needs to register your mobile number during the call to provide the correct account information, so you need to call from your mobile phone to get your balances.
When I dial in, I can ask for text OR minute balances. Does my plan include a minute bundle?
Not right now. The current residential mobile plan doesn’t include a bundle of minutes, just a great per minute rate for your calls. But we are always working on new ideas and plans, so the new balances service has been built with the future in mind. Watch this space!
How up to date is the information?
When you call, you will be advised of the date and time that the information is accurate at. Please note that this will be 24 to 48 hours behind, so won’t include your most recent usage.
If I use up my whole bundle of texts or minutes, will it tell me how much extra I’ve used?
No. You’ll be advised that you’ve used up your monthly minute/text pack, but won’t be able to hear how many minutes or texts you have used over and above your plan bundle.
I also have a data plan, how do I find out how much data I’ve used?
Usage information about your data plan can be retrieved from the Mobile Data Usage Meter accessed via the Customer Zone section of this website here [link to https://www.telstraclear.co.nz/selfservice-customerzone/login.jsf].
If I’m still on the CDMA mobile service, will I be able to hear my balances?
Yes. Balance information is available for CDMA customers as well.
