IMAP email access offers a more effective way of accessing and organising your email. IMAP stores your email on the TelstraClear email server rather than on your own computer. This means it is possible to access the same mailbox from your work computer, your laptop, your home computer and many other IMAP capable devices such as mobile phones and PDA's. IMAP provides you consistent view of your email from them all.
It's easy to arrange
To set up IMAP for your mailbox, visit the Manage Account page and select the user(s) you wish to enable by clicking on the 'modify' link beside the User ID.
You will also need to change the settings in your email software e.g. Outlook Express to use IMAP instead of POP.

As IMAP stores your email on the TelstraClear servers rather than on your own computer, you may also wish to increase your mailbox size (an additional charge applies).
