Most TelstraClear installations usually proceed without any problem or changes. There may be occasions where TelstraClear cannot proceed with your installation on the requested date. If this happens we will contact you and advise of other options available.
Connection Types and Charges
I Have An Existing Phone Service And Am Switching To Telstraclear At The Same Address.
No Connection Required - FREE
If your home phone line is currently connected with another provider, no new network connection should be required.
The Property I want to Connect Has Had A Connection In The Past But It Has Been Disconnected - POA
If the phone line has been active in past, a simple reconnection applies and a site visit is not required.
I Do Not Currently Have An Existing Phone Line Connection - POA
A new connection applies where there is currently no phone line into your home and you wish to have a connection, or when you wish to add an additional line into your home. A service technician will contact you if a visit to your home is required to complete the installation and connection. The work required to install and connect a line varies from property to property, as does the associated cost. The technician will estimate the cost and advise you once they have visited your premises.
Change Of Telephone Number - $60.31
If the request results from malicious calls to your phone number, or as a result of calls directed at the previous user, there is no charge to change your telephone number. For any other reason, this charge applies.
The Change of Number Service includes an automated message for three months advising callers to your old number, your new number.
Move Fee - $60
A relocation fee will apply if you move your TelstraClear services to another connectable address.
Wiring Maintenance - $3.00 per month
If you experience a fault and do not have wiring maintenance, you may be charged for: Premise Wiring, New Jackpoints or Sockets, Labour, Site Visit, Line Installation, External Wiring, Internal Wiring or Fault Diagnosis.
Visits To Your Home
If we are required to visit your home at an arranged time and we are not able to gain entry, we may still charge you for that visit. We may also require you or your nominated agent, to provide us with proof of identity before commencing work.
