Caller Identification
Caller Identification enables your phone or display unit to show the phone number of the person calling you. You can use this feature to screen calls and to answer calls more appropriately (great for home businesses).
TelstraClear requires 30 days notice of cancellation of PhoneLine features. This means the usual charges will continue to apply for 30 days after the date you cancel your service, even if it is disconnected within that period.
The phone number will not be displayed if your caller:

How Caller Identification works
For Caller Identification, you'll need:- A Caller Identification compatible telephone, or
- A separate display unit attached to your existing phone. (These run on batteries and have to be connected to a telephone jack point. Some units also need to run off a mains power supply.)

Things you should know
Caller Identification is not available in all areas.The phone number will not be displayed if your caller:
- Dials a code which blocks Caller Identification from recognising their number
- Calls from outside New Zealand
- Calls from some older exchanges or non-Telecom networks, payphones or some mobile phones.
