Premium SMS is a content and information service that mobile phone users can access using SMS or MMS. Examples of Premium SMS services include voting or entering competitions on television or online, purchasing content for your mobile such as ring tones or screensavers and donating to charities. The service usually involves short code phone numbers of 3 to 5 digits although some may use up to 10 or 11 digits like a mobile phone number.Who provides Premium SMS services?
They are run by 3rd parties who have arrangements with the mobile networks to provide and invoice the service. They’re referred to as “Premium” because a premium cost is charged for the service when purchased by you on your mobile.How do I register for a Premium SMS service?

- Retain any messages that you send to opt-in or opt-out of a particular service. These often contain important information relevant to the service.
- SMS the word STOP to the short code at any time to cancel your subscription.
