IP Gateway is a hosted business telephone service, which offers advanced call control functions, web-based management options, and the ability to connect multiple sites together in one easy system.

IP Gateway puts you in control of your phone communications and messaging, with an easy-to-use, web-based system that works with your PC. This powerful, flexible service has all the features and control of a modern PABX without the initial capital outlay or ongoing maintenance costs.

It means you don't need to worry about equipment becoming outdated, or having spare parts available in the future.

The simplification story continues with the call charging. With IP Gateway we have created just 5 calling zones for your added convenience and simplicity. Within the same zone, calls between your staff (desk to desk) are free, meaning you can bring together your multiple locations in one easy, virtual service.

IP Gateway is a fully hosted flexible solution that can help you lift productivity, by letting you focus on what you do best, running your business.

What does it do?

IP Gateway gives you the functionality of a fully featured PBX without the costly hardware. That means you enjoy:

  • Call distribution
    An optional unified messaging service, and free internal calling in the same zone using extension dialing.
  • Control over how calls are managed.
    For example, when calls are forwarded (and to whom), and when the caller is invited to leave a message. Administration is based through an easy-to-use web-based portal, so changes can be made quickly and simply.
  • Desktop call control
    Call control straight from your desktop, using TelstraClears Telephony toolbar which is accessible via Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  • Flexibility
    IP Gateway is highly scalable, from single to multiple sites.  It is the ideal solution for companies with sites ranging in size from large, head office-type locations, to small branch offices.
  • IP Gateway is easy and simple to use.
    You can run IP Gateway from a desktop and exercise full control, including handling feature upgrades (at no charge, what's more).
  • Plug and play
    Using IP Phones, you literally just plug the phone in and away you go. If you're not ready to use IP Phones, then IP Gateway can also use your existing analogue hardware - it means you can choose how fast and when you move to IP telephony. The following IP phones are available:
  • Greater usability
    Your staff and administrators can easily access the control features with a click of a mouse button. For example, calls can be logged into your email system via a simple toolbar, providing a record of who called and when.

Cost Benefits

Pricing incorporates three elements: monthly account level charges, a per user fee and any optional services and hardware. Pricing is structured so that you only pay for what you need, when you need it.

Because it's network based, you're only charged for active users as you need - and you can turn users on and off as needed. There is no need to reserve or buy spare capacity – with TelstraClear, we will work with you to ensure you have as much as you need, when you need it.
