Internet global roaming is a service provided through TelstraClear's partnership with iPass, providing access to the Internet from almost anywhere in the world. Wherever you are, you can access your email and the internet and all your roaming costs are charged to your TelstraClear account in the normal way.
It's easy to arrange
Global roaming is already enabled on TelstraClear accounts, just download and install the free iPass software onto the computer you will use when overseas.
The software is compatible with the following:
- Windows 2000, XP and some versions of Vista
- Mac OS X 10.2 and above
To access your mailbox with iPass you will require Mail+ (TelstraClear's enhanced email service) to be added to your account. Mail+ costs $4.40 (plus GST) per block of 5 users.
It's easy to use
When travelling, simply use the iPass software provided to log on with your usual TelstraClear internet username and password.

- Prices are in New Zealand Dollars and exclude GST
- iPass connections are charged to the minute and at a higher rate than standard TelstraClear internet connections.
- A Clearnet username and password is needed for each roaming user, additional monthly charges may arise for extra clearnet users
- Does not include other call charges / surcharges on the phone line you use
Other things you need to know about Global Roaming
- You are responsible for all telephone charges you incur when connecting to the TelstraClear internet using iPass.
- TelstraClear does not guarantee that the access numbers supplied by the iPass software will always allow you to connect to TelstraClear's internet service.

- To use the Wi-Fi/broadband version of iPass, the latest version of the iPass software must be downloaded. This will happen automatically if you have a previous version of this software
